Job Description – Head Supply Chain (Digital & AI)

Experience (Years) – 15 years – 20 years

Office Location: Bangalore

Position description: We are looking for a lead product manager (Digital & AI) for our applications related to Supply Chain & Manufacturing for 2W manufacturing business. This person’s primary responsibility will be to work with business stakeholders and customer personas to design and develop new products and solutions which solves business problem and own the existing applications. This role will actively engage with customer, distributor, and internal business users across functions. This position will report to the Head – Digital Products, MFG & SC (Digital & AI) Product manager will oversee the development of software, data analytics and AI products from start to finish to ensure they meet the end-user needs and preferences. Product manager’s main duties includes driving the vision of products, translating product vision to a product roadmap, managing various backlog items, and deciding which features each product will have according to stakeholder’s and customer’s preferences. Product manager will define the why and when of the product in partnership with business sponsors and will co-own what and how in partnership with engineering & analytics colleagues.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, customers to gather requirement and concept development

• Managing the process discovery, process mapping (As Is & To Be) & validation, Scoping to articulate the requirement for MVP and product roadmap

• Create /review PRDs/BRDs/ SoWs etc.

• Define the higher-level backlog items such as epics and features, etc.

• Developing user stories, Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process, Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints

• Overseeing all stages of product creation including design, development & testing

• Plan roll out to users and countries

• Driving adoption of application among users

• Actively collaborate with technical teams, invite them for user-research, remove bottlenecks

• Work closely with product management/business teams to create and maintain a product backlog according to business priority & value

• Manage Scrum best practices

• Share wins and accolades with technical colleagues. Put your team and your technical colleagues before you, for recognition.

Experience & Qualifications

• Overall, 8-10 years of experience, Bachelor’s degree in engineering or MBA from a premium institute

• At least 3+ years of experience in Product owner or product manager role

• Experience in building applications/custom products in the area of Supply Chain (Forecasting, Procurement, Inventory), Manufacturing (Control Center, OEE monitoring)

• Techno functional experience in developing/managing applications

• In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology and product development architecture

• Adept with software product development collaboration tools like JIRA, confluence

• Exposure to enterprise apps such as ERP /MES/EAM

• Experience of reporting & dashboarding , Analytical tools like Power BI • Working understanding of databases and SQL – Good to have

• Understanding of data science tools and concepts (Forecasting models etc.) • Understanding of design of experiments (DOE)

• Understanding of automobile (and other similar products) industry

• Ability to prioritize effectively

• Understanding of Manufacturing & Supply Chain KPIs

• Completed certification or a diploma program in digital product management. Excellent knowledge of user-centred design thinking principles, Ability to work with large cross-functional teams, Understanding of design quality standards
